- Nevada offers 2 separate
avenues leading to a career in time-share sales. A real estate license
offers the holder the option of choosing between time-share sales, new-home
sales and listings, resale-home sales and listings, commercial
leasing, commercial sales, commercial listings, property management (after
adding an additional permit) and business brokerage (after adding an
addition permit). This 90-hour pre-licensing education can be
completed by any delivery method including distance education; prior to
coming to Nevada, or within Nevada.
- Nevada also offers a
specialized Time-Share Sales Agent Permit. This specific permit must
be completed by live-classroom only, in a large metropolitan area. It
enables the holder of the permit the opportunity to only sell new
time-shares for a Project Broker and Developer. They are not allowed
to work with listings or sales of resale time-shares.
- For potential students of
time-share that were following the creation and submission of ABC Real
Estate School's distance course that would have prepared applicants for this
Nevada permit, the Administrator of the Nevada Real Estate Division
administratively denied approval of the distance delivery method of this
course; despite being allowed by Nevada law and regulations.
