Individuals who acquire a real estate license must take accredited continuing education courses to renew the license. This has been changing recently because Nevada doubled its license term. Our home page is linking to and clarifying the changes. A new Nevada licensee needs to complete either post-licensing or continuing education. If required, post-licensing must be taken during a licensees first year of licensing. In addition, a new licensee must complete 12-hours of live classroom continuing education (ethics, contracts, agency, legislative update and broker management for brokers/broker-salespeople). For those exempt from post-licensing (licensed in the another state at the time of application to Nevada/licensed in Nevada within 5 years of the new application to Nevada), 30-hours of continuing education (probably changing to 24-hours) is required. Veteran licensees who have a 2-year license need 24-hours of continuing education (ethics, contracts, agency, legislative update and broker management for brokers/broker-salespeople) that can be complete completed online/by correspondence. Veteran licensees who have a 4-year license must still complete continuing education every 2 years. 24-hours of continuing education is the requirement (ethics, contracts, agency, legislative update and broker management for brokers/broker-salespeople). Nevada is requiring live-classroom for 50% of the education. There may also be a 'rural area exemption' coming that may exempt a licensee from the live-classroom requirement. Licensees with business broker permits and property management permits must also complete topic specific education before renewal. We specialize in distance education courses, we don't offer post-licensing training - only continuing education. 24-hour students must have access to the material for a minimum of 3 days (the day ordered is day 1), and must complete it within 1 year. Each 24-hour package requires the student to pass a final examination with 75%. The course material comes up in a single pdf file. The student is not timed and the course material does not have to be read page-by-page. If a student does not pass the final exam with a 75%, the student must wait 1-hour before trying again. If the student still does not score a 75% (rare), the student should contact the school to have another attempt added. 30-hour students must have access to the material for a minimum of 4 days (the day ordered is day 1), and must complete it within 1 year. Each 30-hour package requires the student to pass a final examination with 75%. The course material comes up in a single pdf file.
