How do I take the Final Examination?
Each individual course requires the student to score a minimum of 60% on a 100 question multiple choice final exam for completion. Quizzes and quiz answers can be found throughout the textbook materials to help prepare the student for the final examination. The final exam may not be downloaded or printed. It is based on textbook information. Please contact ABC Real Estate School at 1-800-977-8835 with any questions or to schedule your examination, if you will be taking the final exam at the school location.
The final examination may be taken on any computer connected to the Internet (including the student’s home computer), at the ABC Real Estate School location during office hours, or in the presence of a proctor at a Title/Escrow Company, library or trade organization setting. It is an open book final exam, and it must be completed within 2 ½ hours (based on a 100 question multiple choice final exam to complete one course). The final examination will be available after a student has possessed a course for a minimum of 18-days. If the proctor option is chosen, the proctor must be a disinterested third party, not related by blood, marriage, domestic partnership, or any other relationship to the licensee which would influence them from properly administering the examination.
To access your final examination electronically anytime after you have had the course material for a minimum of 18-days, you will enter a user name and password on the ABC Real Estate School Web site at http://www.abcrealestateschool.com. Your user name is your first and last name used on your enrollment agreement or order form. Use small letters, first and last name only, and no spaces, commas or periods. For example John Smith’s user name will be johnsmith. Your password will be the zip code used on your order form. It is the zip code of your residence, not your credit card zip code, if they are different.
Do we offer a Placement Service?
ABC Real Estate School stays independent and unbiased with regards to placement. Most brokers are looking for good agents to hire. Licensees should find a convenient office that offers solid sales training, an accessible manager that is good at answering questions, and a contract that can be canceled without penalty.
How do I obtain my Certificate of Completion?
Students need to earn an overall score of 60% on the final examination in order to receive a certificate of completion. The certificate will be available by fax or for the student to print, either by email or on the screen after successful completion of the final examination. If a student does not pass the final examination, he/she must wait another 18-days, studying the course materials, before retesting. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion after having the material for the prescribed time and successfully passing the final examination. The student will receive his/her Certificate of Completion by the next business day after passing the course, either by fax, email, or self-print on the Web. No credit will be given by ABC Real Estate School for attending another school.
Fees are not transferable. All testing, materials and shipping are included in the price. If a student has not successfully passed the final examination at 1-year from purchase, the student must re-purchase, and complete a new class, to obtain credit. Records of course completion certificates will be maintained for a minimum of five years.
When are the office/school hours?
The office is open 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and by appointment. We often answer the phone and email, even when the office is closed. We observe all legal holidays.
What is our Refund/Cancellation Policy?
Students must submit refund requests in writing, during the first 48-hours after receiving any course. Refunds will not be processed until ABC Real Estate School receives the undamaged course material back. No refund will be given if the material is written on, wrinkled, or damaged in any way. If, for any reason, ABC Real Estate School cancels the course, a full refund will be made.
Disclosure Statement
Private providers of pre-license statutory real estate courses must obtain course approval from the Department of Real Estate (DRE). As part of the approval process, the DRE reviews the course materials only. The DRE does not qualify the school or course provider. In addition, there is no regulatory oversight of private pre-license course providers who offer courses or programs costing $500 or less. For courses or programs over $500, qualification by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education is required, in addition to DRE course approval. As a result, if a course provider offering a course costing $500 or less fails to deliver the educational course/program as represented, a student’s monetary remedy is to seek redress in Small Claims Court. Students are cautioned to fully understand the education course/program offered by the provider before enrolling or registering. A list of pre-license statutory courses approved by the DRE can be found on the DRE Web site at www.dre.ca.gov under DRE Records.
DRE Evaluation
An optional on-line evaluation for courses and instructors can be accessed by selecting “Course and Instructor Evaluation” from the DRE’s Web site at http://www.dre.ca.gov.
